Privacy Policy — Later?

The short version

Later? collects nothing about you. There's no account and no sign-in. Your thoughts and their transcriptions never leave your device — voice recognition runs entirely on your phone. The only network activity is Apple's own in-app purchase system, which we don't see and don't control.

Data Collection

Later? does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no email capture, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting tools, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers of any kind built into the app. Our App Store privacy label is, truthfully, "Data Not Collected."

Voice & Speech Recognition

When you capture a thought by voice, Later? uses Apple's Speech framework with on-device recognition to transcribe what you say. The transcription happens entirely on your phone — no audio is ever uploaded, stored externally, or heard by anyone. The microphone is used only while you are actively capturing, and recordings are not retained.

Data Storage

Everything you capture in Later? — your thoughts, notes, and queue — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage. We have no servers that hold your data and no access to it. Items auto-purge on the schedule you choose; Later? is a conveyor belt, not a permanent archive.

Smart Actions

When you act on a thought, Later? hands off to another app or service you already use — your search engine, Apple Maps, a shopping site, YouTube, or Mail. Later? simply opens that destination with your query; from that point on, the destination's own privacy policy applies. Later? does not add any identifier of its own to these handoffs.

Third Parties

Later? contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or external services. There is no upward data flow of any kind. The only framework that performs any network activity is Apple's own StoreKit, described in "Purchases & Payments" below.

Purchases & Payments

Later? is free to use and offers a single one-time, optional upgrade:

Later? Plus — a one-time purchase of $3.99 (or the local equivalent in your App Store storefront) that unlocks unlimited smart actions and other power features.
It is a non-consumable purchase — there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Pay once, and it's yours, restorable across your devices.
The app is fully usable for free; the upgrade is entirely optional.

All payment processing and restores are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We — the developer, Tidy Apps — never see your payment details, your Apple ID, your billing address, or any personally identifying information about you. We do not run servers, and no purchase-related data is sent to us.

The app uses Apple's StoreKit framework to check whether you own Later? Plus. That check is a local API call that may, on Apple's side, talk to Apple's servers. We have no visibility into that traffic beyond receiving a yes/no entitlement answer from the framework.

Children's Privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including minors under 13.
